Thats okay you are still welcomed here and there will be more bonus opportunities. They might not be as cool as this one ...but they are usually pretty cool. Good Luck.

recognize their power, and the power in others. It's when we all give a shit that things happen!
Just saying! This election came close to a record breaking voter turnout.
The gap between the majority and the minority was also the biggest it's been in my lifetime, at least as far as I can remember.
There were concerns about the efficacy of the voting system. People were anticipating a nightmare that would involve recounts across the country in the same manner we saw in Florida 8 years ago. There was anticipation for 2 months of such carryings on before we would know who would be our next president.
Nothing about it was expected! Bravo America! Now everyone everywhere will know the power of the vote.

I feel like it'd be weird to vote for myself, so I didn't. But I also don't want to throw free endorsements around, so I'm not saying who I voted for. I'll just say that, strictly judging by his or her platform, I think a certain candidate is best for the advancement of this country... is that statement aggravatingly vague enough for you?

Even though I hold very different views from you, I respect your thinking. Congratulations on the blogger of the week nomination!
Generally speaking, I am pissed at the Republican party these days, mostly because I used to respect them and they have disappointed me. WOW, that was a long time ago. I have to admit I voted for Bush his first term, and now I am ashamed to admit that. I voted for John McCain in 2004. He lost my vote this election.
What I mean to say, is that I appreciate your levelheadedness and clear thinking. Your party would be uplifted with you as a candidate. Perhaps you will bring some sanity back into it.

Uhmm
i did vote for myself. I thought it would be awkward not to. I mean who ever heard of someone not voting for themselves in a presidential election? that is a bit unrealistic.
however, i think other candidates would be a great and perhaps even a better choice than me. ( but i didn't say that out loud)
since I was here last year and Nick was kind of like the gospel :)
hm...I have never been part of inside jokes either..so don't feel too bad.

ProU gave someone the title of "God" at some point? Despite the strong atheistic element represented here? This I must know more of. i guess I'll have to go digging around in a certain saint's blogs to figure out how this happened. If he really did accomplish this, I must say he is a worthy king!

Oh, no, ProU didn't do anything. Nick proclaimed himself god, and some members of the staff went along with it as an inside joke. You also won't find much in a certain saint's blogs, because that's a fairly recent account. He was on a different account before, which he had deleted a while ago. The blogs are still on the site, but they aren't attributed to anyone.

You don't vote for kings. The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite holds aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that someone is to carry Excalibur. THAT is why people become kings.

It might work better than allowing a woefully uninformed and easily manipulated public choose the government.
I think we would have gotten better government over the last 40 years or so if we had chosen our leaders randomly from the population with a Ouiji Board or perhaps just randomly picked them from the population by computer lottery or just gone without a government for a few generations until a lady in a pond showed up with a sword.

kind of like what you just described. Voting turnout becomes so low that a man or woman has to be chosen at random to be the only one person to vote between the two candidates of the two major parties every four years.

I can answer that...
Because he is Nick- a certain saint. But he can not be King since the royal spot belongs to me and he is already a saint.
