The 40 Days for Life campaign began on September 24, 2008. This is the second nationwide campaign. Over 170 United States and Canadian cities are participating in this incredible campaign. Today is Day 13. Although we are only a little over a quarter through the 40 Days, the 40 Days for Life campaign has already saved 89 babies that we know of! Thousands of people are participating and the results are incredible! 89 babies saved also means 89 mothers who are saved the pains and regrets of abortion for the rest of their lives. This also means that those involved in the possible abortion are also saved from regret for the rest of their lives. God is so gracious! We are hoping to have our first abortion free state through the 40 Days for Life! According to the 40 Days for Life website (http://www.40daysforlife.com please check it out to get more information), the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Mississippi only have ONE abortion facility per state. Also, Nebraska and Kentucky only have two!
40 Days for Life ends merely two days before Election Day (40 Days for Life ends on November 2 and Election Day, as many know, is on November 4). By participating in the 40 Days for Life, you can send a clear message to our governors that America wants to be a pro-life country. It is important for those who respect the dignity of life to participate in the 40 Days, not only for freedom for the unborn, the elderly, and the handicapped, but also for every American citizen who will suffer from disregard for human dignity.
There are three main ways to participate. First, if you have an abortion facility near you, go and peacefully pray outside of it. Secondly, prayer and sacrifice are vital to the 40 Days for Life. Finally, reach out in your community and spread the word. More information on the 40 Days, participating cities, and other information can be found on the 40 Days for Life website (http://www.40daysforlife.com).
RESPECT life.
