And now for some reality.... I'm not trying to scare people, I just want people to realize that it is important to think through every possible aspect of sex before engaging at all or with a new partner.
How are STDs/STIs transmitted?
It really depends on the particular disease/infection. Most are transmitted by bodily fluid- sex of any kind. HPV (especially genital warts) and genital herpes can spread simply through contact even with proper condom use. (This is because the infected skin areas may not be covered by the condom.)
What are the potential disease risks with oral sex?
It is a myth that oral sex is safe. Diseases and infections can still be transmitted!
Potential transmission through:
PERFORMING ORAL SEX ON A MAN- Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis A, Herpes (rare), HPV, Syphilis
PERFORMING ORAL SEX ON A WOMAN- Herpes (rare)
RECEIVING ORAL SEX (man)- Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes, Syphilis
RECEIVING ORAL SEX (woman)- Herpes
What diseases can be transmitted through vaginal or anal intercourse?
The fact is that the same diseases can be transmitted through vaginal and anal intercourse. These are all of the STDs: Chlamydia Gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, Herpes, HIV, HPV, Syphilis, and Trichomoniasis.
More detailed information about each STD and STI coming very soon... I'm getting kicked off my own computer.
Again, any questions, message me in private, or ask here.
