Being the politically inclined activist many of you are, you want a place to share all the cool progressive programs you're in with other like minded individuals, and now there a forum just for that! When posting press releases there are a few things we want you to keep in mind, though.
1. Be aware that posting information on local events can tell everyone on the web where you live. Use your own judgment on whether this is worth the risk.
2. Keep it relevant. If it's not related to politics, social justice, or other progressive principals, we probably don't want to hear it.
3. Think about the demographics. This site is targeted toward high school and college students, so make sure you're posting things that are open to student involvement.
4. Make sure you post enough information for people to do something with, and include a way to contact you, or someone else with more information. If you list someone else as the contact person make sure you have their permission to do that.
5. If someone else wrote the press release, make sure you have permission to repost it, and give credit to the writer and/or source.
