"Progressive U" is an address as well to me and all those who chance upon this website and page. YES, U are important! And how to be progressive?

When I was a small girl I was terrified of the dark, and it took a lot to deal with that fear. I would cling to my mother especially if we were staying overnight somewhere unfamiliar. My feet would patter behind hers and I would squeeze between her legs or grab onto her night shirt for dear life.

If asked to be sent back to fight in Iraq for another tour, would be willing to pay someone to shoot you in the knees just so you wouldn’t have to go? How about swallow a pen at the bus stop for the bus that you will be taking to base camp? Although you may not do something this extreme, this a real problem that more soldiers now than ever in history are having to deal with.

I’ll let you in on a little secret here for the first time ever. I categorize everyone on this site before I’ve read past one blog entry. It’s really not unheard of. In fact, I bet 50 points off of my total points on this blog that you do this yourself.

You can categorize in any aspect of life, but I suppose school, work, and this site are three very good examples.

Religion has always been an interesting thing to me. It's one of those subjects that has so many facets, no matter how long you study it, there is always something new to learn. So, when I got the chance to sign up for the Culture: Religion and Identity course my college offers, I jumped at the chance. What better way to spend electives than on courses that you're interested in taking?

Cutting. What comes to mind when you see this word? When you hear it? Is there something that clicks that makes you think of cutting food or clay? Or do you get the thought that some one may actually do this to themselves? What thought comes to mind?

Have you ever wanted to put your hand far enough outside of your car that it might get side-swiped by another car and you'd lose a hand?

Your mind is the most powerful thing ever conceived. Ever created. Ever thought of. No, the nuclear bomb is not the most complex, destructive object created. Your mind is. It is your mind that created that merciless killer. Not chemical compounds. Everything we think of and create has the potential to be dangerous, depending on how it is used.
