I have been looking back at older posts. Some of the topics that people never get tired of writing about are: racism, homosexuality and religions. There are so many new faces and fonts on this site; it's very exciting to see new posts and new ideas being published before the contest for the scholarship starts.

Of course, we all have our own ideas and experiences that we want to blog about. And we have different ways to express these thoughts and opinions. But I really wanted to write something specifically for you new members to read and, hopefully, take some advice and see how your blog can really grow.

It's natural to want to introduce yourselves to the rest of us; you're, essentially, joining a community and it's a polite thing to do to introduce yourself to older members of the community. It is such a blessing to see how many new people have come to join us this Summer. Usually, we see a drastic increase in membership and participation only during the contest months and things, well, sort of fall off the map in between.

I love the fact that the majority of users over the past couple of weeks are relatively new, coming to Progressive U with no prejudice or preconceived notions about either the site, its intentions, other users, or the scholarship itself.
