What's all the hype about Obama's pastor these days? He is anti-white, anti-upper-class, and anti-Republican, for sure. But what else is really going on with him and Obama and their views?

I've never been starstruck before. I see a lot of bands and a lot of "celebrities." In fact, the entire idea of it makes me ill. We're all just people. To watch the way "celebrities" are treated- ick. So what if they can sing or act or play ball? Tonight, I went to see Barack Obama speak. *sigh*

Democratic primaries. Oh gosh. This month's Public Forum Debate resolution is Resolved: That the U.S. system of presidential primaries is contrary to democratic values. We debated it at state, it was... interesting, to say the least.

With Barack Obama now the clear frontrunner in the Democratic race, the question begs asking: Can Hillary Clinton win?

I am endlessly concerned with the fact that most people my age do not know, and do not care, about anything in current events other that Britney’s latest breakdown. However, what concerns me even more is that a lot of people have just given up trying to educate teens in politics.

In the past, I've been content to vote in the general elections, happy with my recreational use of voting. I participated in my first caucus on Super Tuesday, and it has left me jonesing for my next opportunity to vote! It's addictive, like crack or gambling.

Supposedly we live in a country where church and state are separated, however, weekly attending a Baptist Church, I have found that some churches just can’t help but get involved in politics. One week the church announced they had printed a voter’s guide with information about the various candidates. Its purpose, or so they stated, was not to tell anyone who to vote for, but simply to inform.

As we all know, the race to find out who will be battling for the White House is well under way. I have watched primaries and elections before but never have I followed any as closely as I am now. Everyday I make sure that I check certain websites to see if there have been any updates regarding either the Republican or Democratic races.
