I recently read an article in the New York Times about an organic baby formula Similac puts out. It basically says that while this formula is organic (and thus supposedly better for you), it uses cane sugar instead of other sugars.

A recent study in London led by Jane Wardle, director of Cancer Rsearch UK’s Health Behavior Centre, revealed evidence that genetics play a much larger role in determining the weight of an individual than diet and lifestyle than previously thought. Researchers studied over 5,000 pairs of identical twins, comparing their measurements with non-identical twins.

Are our kids getting bigger? Whats seems to be the problem?
I am sure that we all know about the gradual change in weight over the past 20 years and how it has effected the health of our world but has anyone considered the kids?

I read this article in today’s Washington Post about the problem of obesity. I thought the problem of obesity was actually quite funny, people eating themselves to death and what not. But this article pointed out that if too many people are sick and going to the hospital the U.S. could face productivity problems.

Its a known fact that our country has an obesity problem. Its something we see everyday (I write this with a handful of chocolate covered peanuts at my side). Everything that our children are learning though, they are learning from us. From the ease in which to make a quick unhealthy meal to your avoidance of eating anything that may have once grown in the ground.
