The American Great Depression of the 1930’s was the greatest crisis of capitalism ever to occur in the world. Twenty five percent of the American workforce was unemployed. Small farmers were struggling to make ends meet, crops cost more to produce than they could be sold for. More than 9,000 banks had closed their doors and their depositors had lost more than 2.5 billion dollars.

It is so weird how money can make people go mad. Financial insecurity has been the number one cause of my stress, and I think many people are in the same boat. Everywhere I go I am hearing about everyone's concern for the economy and what a sting this recession is giving them. People spread the anxiety like a virus.

Author Drops $11,000 from Airplane to Promote New Book

In an attempt to promote his new book Marketing Revolution, author Tung Desem Waringin dropped money from an airplane in Indonesia. Tung was no stranger to publicity stunts, having also ridden a horse through Jakarta dressed as the country’s most famous war hero to promote his first book. The Indonesian self-help guru let 100 million rupiah (approximately 11,000 American dollars) rain down over a soccer field today in Serang, Indonesia.

My, what an expensive hobby

In elementary school, I loved Art. I mean, I really, really loved Art. I tried my hardest each time I had class, and my work even got chosen to be displayed in the Capitol Art Exhibit in Atlanta. After I finished my art classes in highschool, I fell out of the habit, and out of the hobby I used to spend so much time pursuing.
