This is an article about gun control I wrote for the school newspaper when I was a senior in high school. Just your typical conservative/libertarian argument against gun control. It's not necessarily 100% what I believe to this day, but I have love for all of my children.

The attempt I made last week to bring the issue of progressives being misunderstood came back to bite me. Can’t say I didn’t see that coming, just not in the way it did. I received emails and phone calls about how demeaning and confusing I was in my explanation. My bad; thought it spoke for itself. It was suggested to me to stop being an extremist and to stop reading communist novels.

I'm fed up with my high school education. It's as simple as that.
As a conservative with strong views, I am not allowed to express them without being ridiculed in school.
The Supreme Court is currently in the process of making a decision regarding the potential cruelty of lethal injection, the most popular form of capital punishment in the United States. An opponent of the death penalty in all cases in the United States, I'll save the cruelty argument for another time. Instead, I wish to utilize this space to discuss the process leading up to the death penalty.
In a democratic (perhaps more appropriately, postdemocratic) society, the media holds an important responsibility in that they are to expose corruption, fairly discuss political topics and provide a dissenting voice to the rhetoric of the elite.
