Why are stereotypes always made by types of music people like?

Lately it has become apparent to me that there are so many different forms of relationships. You can be friends, acquaintances, friends with benefits, one-night stands, boyfriend/girlfriend, casually dating, coworkers, husband/wife and so many more.
