FDA approves HPV vaccine, what you need to know

HPV stands for Human Papilloma Virus. This is the virus responsible for genital warts. However, there are at least 130 strains of HPV. 2 strains at least have been connected with cervical cancer. The FDA has approved Gardasil and Cervarix, vaccines that target 4 strains of HPV, 2 known to cause genial warts, and 2 known to cause cervical dysplasia.  Read More »
