grades

Currently I am involved in an experiment, or more of a challenge one might say, proposed by one of my professors. The overall grade in his class is made up of papers and class participation. But I have signed up to not know any of my grades on the assignments I turn in. I will not know what my actual grade is until they come out after the semester is over and done with.  Read More »

At my school we have a very unusual way of going about taking finals.... our rule is this:
if you haven't missed a class more than three days that semester and you are not failing the class you don't have to take the final. Now I think this idea can be good or bad.  Read More »

I don't know about you, but, as a student, I feel that in today's schools grades count for too much and learning too little. As long as a student obtains a good grade, who really cares whether or not he/she actually learned the material? The new motto: Ace the test, forget the material.  Read More »
