A Matter of Conscience

Currently, the Obama administration is trying to rescind the conscience protection for our medical professionals. This protection currently (in theory) protects a person from having legal action taken against them if they refuse to do something because it goes against their conscience and/or religion. A woman cannot sue a doctor for not giving her an abortion referral.  Read More »

Seperation of Church and State

Newsweek Magazine had a small article on U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris who suggested the separation between church and state was not what our founding fathers had wanted or suggested in the creation of the United States. Perhaps this is true but the critical point that everyone seems to be forgetting is that it is inconsequential. I will say it again- it does not matter.  Read More »

Separation of Church and State? Yeah Right!

In the First Amendment in the United States Constitution it states:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”  Read More »

God Is Dead

He isn't there for you. He doesn't listen to your prayers. He doesn't care if you need something. He doesn't care about you or your problems or... anything, really. He thinks of you as worthless, inferior, pathetic. Ah, no, I have something better: God is dead.  Read More »

Religious Persecution in Today's High Schools

As a graduating senior this year, I have seen a lot that goes on around my school's campus. I have to say that it is very disappointing that my classmates that aren't of the christain religion are victims of discrimination. I have tried to take a stand and help them voice their opinion about how unfair this is but in turn, I was victimized myself.  Read More »
