Ok, so I want to know what everybody thinks about Hillary. Personally, I don't think that she should be president, and here's why. I'm not sexist, I'm not against her choice to want to run. But when we are dealing with the presidency we need to look at one key thing.  Read More »

I was reading Lynn Peril's essay and there were some things that I found pretty persuasive and agreeable in it. In her essay "Pink Think," Lynn Peril talks about the widespread ideal femininity in today's society.  Read More »

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Marketing is not the only issue, the actual context of television is not liberating in the least. Women may now be playing lawyers, but it’s compromised for the short skirt and parted lips accompanied with made over faces, which feign sex appeal to the audience.  Read More »

have a delightful time but when you get home and come to think it all
over, all you have got is a fan that only cost 20 francs and a doll
that they gave you away for nothing in a restaurant.  Read More »

rape culture

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

I posted the other day about how difficult it was to get convictions in rape trials even with incredible evidence. In this case the perpetrators’ lawyer claims that it couldn’t have really been rape because the girls were unattractive and probably wanted the attention.

lawyer Sheilagh Davies, acting for one of the defendants, said the girls consented to sex “maybe to gain attention, maybe to gain affection”.  Read More »
