Connecticut became the third state in America to end discrimination between heterosexual and homosexual couples. Great, now we just have 47 states to go.

I remember sitting inside homeroom my senior year and listening to the man on the morning announcements speak about a Plaxico Burress minority scholarship, opened up exclusively for minority students. Upon hearing this I looked around the room and noticed I was the only Caucasian male in the entire class.

ECONOMY OR EQUALITY

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

We all know the economy is on the downfall—even the President said so. If that didn’t give you a clue, the banks that are going “bankrupt” might enlighten you. However, if you get on any job search engine, it seems there are still plenty of jobs out there.

Sara Palin vs the Smart, Successful woman

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •

I know most women want to have an equal voice, but I think that using a candidate's gender to raise them up, but then using the feminine nature associated with that gender against them, like Sara Palin, is an example of a hypocritical standard we have for woman.

Today we did presentations on Capitalism and Socialism, by Linda Chang. And Politics: Finland, by me. Finland was a handful, so I didn't get to do Singapore. No wonder they could write books about Finland, there really is something about Finland's educational system that makes children happier and more prepared for life. Their value system is also interesting.

Just a GIRL!

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •

I am female. Its something that I have no control over, I was born this way. Never needed to appologize for it as far as I was concerned but to some you'd think it was a disease or a handicap that causes me to be a menace to society or a human being that is capable of less. The love of my life believes with me that women can do anything that they want to but that they shouldn't HAVE to do it.
