There are so many issues surrounding cutting and so many stereotypes that go along with it also that it isn't hard to see why a lot of people I know in my school think that cutting is just for the "emo" kids. They are emos, attention grabbers, or kids that suffer from abuse at home, etc. They're the stereotypes of cutters, the people that everyone assumes are the only ones who do it. In recent years some teen magazines have started addressing the topic; spurting out statistics and one line quotes from people.  Read More »

I think a lot of people here on ProgressiveU search for topics they feel strongly about or can relate to, or even something that vaguely interests them.
