Are autism kids being misdiagnosed?

I’ve never been a fan of celebrities giving their kids weird names. Director Robert Rodriguez named his sons Rocket, Racer, Rebel, and Rogue. Comedian Penn Jillette named his kid Moxie CrimeFighter. Nicholas Cage named his son Kal-el. There is Frank Zappa with his children named Moon Unit and Diva Thin Muffin. Then there is Jason Lee who named his child Pilot Inspektor. The list goes on.

I have failed you, the Progressive U Community. Most importantly however, I failed myself. I would like to take this time to apologize.

Some call them Angel Kisses. Some call them ugly. Some are teased because of them. Some have them during the summer and lose them during the winter. We’re told lemon juice fades them. We’re shown how make up can cover them up. People with them a rarity on television or in movies. Dogs have been named after them.

“You’ll never last all day.” I heard this comment in different forms through out the day on Friday. It got old, really fast.

“Are you sure you didn’t talk Friday?” I heard this comment in different forms through out today. It too got old.

While I’ve only been driving on my own for a year and a half now (2 years if you count the 6 months I had my permit) I feel that I am a pretty safe driver. I obey traffic rules and I don’t pull any risky stunts like pulling out in front of somebody or cutting somebody else off. I feel like I was able to take what I learned in driver’s ed and apply it in my everyday driving.

Do you, like me, strive for perfection? Does everything you do have to be just perfect? Of course there are several forms of perfection. It could be making sure every strand of hair is in place. It could be you spell check your blog and spend several hours on it to come up with that “perfect” blog. Do you go over every word in your head down to the last detail before you say something?
