I've never been starstruck before. I see a lot of bands and a lot of "celebrities." In fact, the entire idea of it makes me ill. We're all just people. To watch the way "celebrities" are treated- ick. So what if they can sing or act or play ball? Tonight, I went to see Barack Obama speak. *sigh*
Mind overrun with thoughts of failure. Heart races. Body shakes. Hands sweat. Chest tightens. Can't breathe. Feel dizzy. Overwhelmed. Where do I start?
I'm a huge supporter of Barack Obama. I actually paid $20 for a t-shirt to support him. All that it says on it is "got hope?" and then lists the website. Never in my life have I spent $20 on a single shirt, let alone a short sleeved, thin knit cotton one. That is how much I believe in Obama.
With five years in this violent occupation of Iraq, I thought I would read a bunch to see what we've accomplished. Saddam Hussein is dead, but we were just looking for regime change. Well, $504,000,000,000 went into this so far... War on Terror was it?
I am in the system. I get $624 per month from SSI (supplemental security income). I am on Medicare, Medicaid, and I'm trying to get into Voc Rehab to help me pay for school because I'm tapped out of student loan money. I will lose Medicare in October. I go to the lab once a month and get my blood analyzed for $600, and $1200 twice a year for extra labs.
Most people I've heard speak about the legalization of marijuana had just taken a puff off of a bong. I quit smoking pot when I was in my very early 20s. I do believe that it is in society's best interest to legalize it for many reasons.
And now for some reality.... I'm not trying to scare people, I just want people to realize that it is important to think through every possible aspect of sex before engaging at all or with a new partner.

I had a conversation the other day with a friend that immigrated here from the UK. He made a comment that most American poor are stereotypically obese. He didn't understand how, if these people were so poor, they could get enough food to be obese. The key word there is stereotypically, but I did explain my thoughts on the subject.
