Over the weekend I took my first steps towards my new adventure, college orientation. I showed up not knowing what to expect, except complete awkwardness; I didn't know anyone who would be there.

Moving On and Letting Go
Tomorrow my family locks up and says goodbye our house we lived in for seventeen years. For months I was in denial of moving. Moving couldn't possibly change how I felt about my family's situation. I wanted so long for my family to be strong and try to keep our house, but now I realize it was all for the best.
You Can't Take My Scholarship From Me!
After weeks of not knowing what school to go to and constantly debating one school against the other, I finally chose a college based on the financial aid I was receiving. I didn't think I would be attending this school since the tuition is $43,000 a year. FAFSA had advised me to take out $30,000 in loans. When it seemed like I wouldn't be going, I find the perfect scholarship for me.
The Search for Summer Jobs

A Way To Lower Gas Prices
Every week when my gas tank gets low, I drive around looking for the cheapest gas station. Every week, I settle for a higher price than I promised I'd pay. Last week, I said I won't pay over $3.79; even though I knew I place I could get it for $3.77. This week, I went, "$3.89? That's not a bad deal." Most of the gas stations around me average $3.99 to $4.05.

"Sex" Gives Wrong View of Love: Warning: Spoiler!
This weekend, I went to see "Sex and the City" with my friend. My mom wasn't very keen on me going, but she said I was old enough to make my own decision to see the movie. So, of course I went. I didn't really want to see it, but I felt bad that I blew off my friend twice that week. As I sat in the theater, I laughed at the jokes-mostly dirty and full of curses.
Stuck At A Gas Station: Don't Let This Happen To You
It was a dark, rainy night. I was racing on the highway to meet my friend for dinner. Looking down at the gas gage, the needle hit Empty. I pulled off the highway at the next gas station, handed my debit card to the gas attendant, and asked for a full tank of gas. It was costly, but much needed. The gas pump finally stopped at $40 with a little over 10 gallons of gas.
