Blogging today and went over my vacation pictures. I think that the water bottle is going to be the downfall of the USA. We did something about the cans now we need to do something about the water bottle. As you can see from the picture that the trash in washington is composed almost entirerly of water bottles. Water bottles that do not compact in the trash because they are of a heavy plastic. How much harder would it be to use the same machines that we use for pop for the water bottles. President Vladimir Putin in his speech on June 27, 2006 seemed to feel that the US actions in the middle east could be the start of a new cold war. He aluded that the US started a movement to have force when dealing with international poltics that the president of Russia said is being "foisted on us all," Putin.

Russia's energy blackmail is not a new occurance. In the past they have been know to reduce shipments of energy suppies to further political aims. It is said however that the countires they are doing this to are not complaining. OF course some of the countires may have other means of getting energy. Why do the serious blogs get 2 clicks and the Girls gone wild stupid blogs telling drunk people to keep their clothes on get 2000 clicks? Well, I think people in this day and age are tring to get away from the serious becuase life has gotten to serious. The war is cuasing people to be stupid. There are people going to Canada to get away from the war, and this war is unpopular but not as unpoplur as vietnam. I think people accept that this had to happen- we just need a way to extract ourselves from the situation. I wonder if their was a plan for that before we declared war?  Read More »

The UCSB channel on cable show the program Renewable Energy and The Future. During the program serveral points were made about how cellulose ethenol would bring more jobs to the US instead of us supporting other counties by buying thier oil. Yahoo reported that there was a father who poisoned his kids recently. He used campbells soup to give the poison to them. Sound familiar? If you watched the sixth sense you can probibly remmeber that one of the mothers in the movie was keeping her child sick by poisoning her soup. I think she was pouring some kind of cleaner in it. The motives were different in the movie, aparently the man in the news wanted to sue the company for money. However this is a common problem, parents using thier children for attention. How can someone take a cute innocent(usually innocent) child and do something not in their best interests?  Well for some it might be a way out of porverty, sueing a company succesfuly would give the parent enough money for the child to live well. But the risk of death is too much in this case. Would you poison your child to give them enough to eat? Or would you strave in silence?   Read More »

Above link provides instrution on walking. I try to walk at least 6 miles a week. Plus whatever other excercise I can get. Not everybody has time to walk or the evergy, but you make time for your health or you won't have it anymore.

I found out that it is not easy to learn about the middle east, the language or the culture. They are the enemy- but we do not want them to be. I saw on the military chanel that in the midle east the men overseas are trying to get the iraq people to know us and to accept us. So what do we do? Learn thier culture and they learn ours, which is difficult. But we have a habit of making other peoples learn our langauge and do not return the favor. I can see the goverment not wanting to declar a national second language. But if they did right now I think it would be arabic, to foster good will and make them like us so when we leave we still have trading rights. I heard now that the people in goverment(well some of them) are calling for us to be independant from forgien oil. This would be great. I don't see us leaving Iraq till most of this independance happens. So we give 10 yrs to build better cars that don't run on gasoline so the country dosn't grind to a halt, and the food trucks do not stop running(mainly meijers in the east). And we as a country stop being so isolated and cut off from the world. I know their is not much opertuity to learn forgein langauges. I've been to the libraryies in my town. Thier is only one arabic langauge tape and its not that good. Its called Gulf Arabic. If you want to learn a forgien languge you should start with the baby tapes. There are many different marital arts out there to choose from. T'ai Chi, Jui JET SU, Karete, there is even a free form street fighting gym in my area. I want to get fit and arobics just isn't for me. I remeber Karate from childhood, but I don't know how to go about choosing and finding an instuctor. Also all the classes I've come across except the free form one are for children. And the only T'ai Chi gym is too far away. I bought a book on Tai Chi basics but found it difficult to do on my own. I had better luck doing step abrobics on my own. Also, the classes I have come across have been expensive. I've come to the conclusion that all the things to do here in the sticks for adults have to do with sitting or drinking and sitting. Of course it takes money to do anything, money that I don't have. Seeing as I havn't graduated from college and I can't keep a job for more then a year.  Read More »
