iCare?

I have no idea what all of the iPhone hustle and bustle is about.

I guess this is about as exciting as the Nintendo Wii, except that was relatively affordable. Starting at $499, Apple's new iPhone launched today to hoards of anxious customers, some of whom were in line as early as 3AM for the 6PM release. At one point, they were selling in the thousands on eBay.  Read More »

Students for Justice (in small claims court)

As you may have read over at Old Lady Syndrome, I seem to have caused a bit of hubbub over the implication that I favored a UC Berkeley student who recently lost a lawsuit for defamation and tortious interference.

Now that I've done a bit more research, it seems appropriate to present the facts (and my opinion) here, too.

Running America has its benefits

Including evading the judicial process.

President Bush has used his executive privilege to refuse lawmakers' demands for White House documents relating to the Congressional investigation of recent firings of federal prosecutors. Compassionate responsibility- not just a warm & fuzzy ideal

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

Teaching responsibility starts with being prepared to handle the worst.

In college, I've encountered several potentially dangerous situations that, had I not been able to properly recognize the situation, could have psychologically damaged or unnecessarily hospitalized people.   Read More »

Stem cell veto may not be so bad

President Bush vetoed an embryonic stem cell research bill today, marking the second time he has vetoed legislation on stem cell research-- out of three times he has used the veto pen.

I'm glad to hear that Democrats are not entirely discouraged-- they'll just wait for a pro- stem cell r  Read More »

Modernizing the Church, 10 commandments at a time

The Vatican has issued a new set of commandments-- this time, for drivers.

The Associated Press announced Tuesday morning that the Vatican recognized driving as a prevalent form of transportation that served many itinerant and migrant people.  Read More »
