Bill Gates is the man we each aspire to be. Well, at least in terms of financial security, right? How much more secure can anyone be than the US $40 billion he sits on that grows by the day?
But, while we imagine all that money, we concurrently think about what a waste it is that one man bear such a large sum of money. "He doesn't do anything with that money!" or "if I had all that money, I would donate so much of it" are common retorts by the Gates bashers.
Too bad they conveniently miss EVERY news briefing detailing Gates' UNBELIEVABLE philanthropic endeavors. Read More »

Appreciate Putin's Declarations
We cannot criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin's declarations that the United States government has acted in a methodically hypocritical manner. In his seventh State of the Nation address, he voiced:
"Where is all this pathos about protecting human rights and democracy when it comes to the need to pursue their own interests?" said Putin, who also used a fairy-tale reference to criticize the aggressive U.S. course in global affairs. Read More »

Screw Egalitarianism Part I
Nearly 25% of the posts on this site deal with American ideals vs. World ideals and how we are "spoiled" Americans who feel we deserve everything. In the simplest terms, this is retarded. Huge Settlements and the Jury Duty
So Merck just lost 250 million dollars on a Vioxx settlement. Nearly 40% of the individuals involved in the deal had no physiological problems. Most involved misused the drug.
Vioxx was a Merck product designed to combat osteoarthritis. Apparently it did more than just combat, actually causing some problems. But warnings were displayed all over the product that it had just recently been approved, that there were concerns over reliability, that side effects were present, that doctors and comparable family physicians should be consulted. The most profitable NEW News Story
Silicosis. A slight variation of asbestosis only WILDLY more lucrative. When the first "case" broke the scene late 2003, nothing looked bad. But now, thousands of cases are sprouting leading to the formation of GIANT settlements (no company wants to go to court on medical reasons with juries so giving these days).
Lawyers and Doctors alike have been scheming together to create so many cases that the involved companies are forced to deal. Read More »
