While I was in government class the other day, the Navy recruiter came and talked to us. I have no way of putting this except the way one of my friends described it...We were mind raped. All of us walked out of there shocked and numbed, ready to sign up for the Navy at that exact moment. We weren't convinced, we were...well, mind raped. There really is no other way to put it.

Mocking the United Nations
I spent last week in The Hague for a Model United Nations conference. I had a good time and I really appreciated the week away from home. But the conference only reconfirmed what I already thought...The United Nations doesn't accomplish anything. All they do is debate all day and then they can't even enforce what solutions they come up with.

The Older We Get...Great Song BTW
The older I get, the harder it is for me to make friends. Sure, I have friends but I'm not as close to any of them as I was to friend I had, say, three years ago. As I grow, I find myself drawing into myself more and more and becoming less and less open with the people around me.

Will It Be an Awkward Homecoming?
I have mentioned this in earlier blog posts, but my dad has been deployed. In a short time, he will be coming home and becoming a regular part of the family again. And I don't want him to come back.

Indecision 08
I was working on some scholarship applications during school today. I had nothing else to do, because it's finals week and I don't really have tests that require studying. (Sometimes I feel like the only high schooler who still uses this site.) One of them required an essay that got me really thinking.

Political Sheep Tipping?
Sheep are the dumbest animals on the planet. They are so helpless. If a sheep falls over on its back, it cannot right itself. When it is stuck in this position, the sheep is "cast." While stuck here, fluid begins to fill its lungs and it starts to suffocate. Then a shepherd has to come and right the sheep and hold it on its feet until the fluid leaves its lungs.

I Have an Opinion
My sister was watching The Sentinel while I was on the computer earlier today. I wasn't really paying attention to the movie until the "President" said something along the lines of "We should ratify the Kyoto Protocol." Obviously, this is Hollywood talking. But I agree with this statement.

Holidays...?
I have not posted a blog in about ten days. I told myself I would not post a blog until I had something to say, and I didn't post anything. So now, I have something to say.
