No Britney isn’t running for President with Paris as her Vice-President running mate, but there is a new political commercial featuring the two. Senator and Republican presidential nominee John McCain has produced a new ad that compares Senator and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to the likes of Britney and Paris.
In the past few years there have been many “Weed Movies” made and even a hit television show called Weeds. Harold and Kumar, How High, Super High Me, Knocked Up, The Wackness, Pineapple Express (coming to theaters August 6th), and so many more have all come out within the past ten years. Is this increased media exposure, and glorified look at drug use corrupting the youth of America?

I am going to come out and say it, Americans are afraid of sex. It's the truth. You go anywhere in Europe and there are naked statues and pieces of art all over the city, there are nude beaches, there is a huge fascination with Playboy, and at night the TV channels turn to porn. Now this is not to say that Europeans are immoral people living life's full of nudity and orgies.
When we think of Communism we typically think of China, Cuba, or the Former U.S.S.R. Governments full dictators and corruption. Citizens living in fear of their leaders, afraid to speak up for fear of being reported to government officials. It is because of these images that we have seen, and Americas shaky past with Communist nations that make most Americans to look closely at the idea.
I as thousands of other people will be heading off in a few weeks to attend college for the first time. All over again we will be freshman, leaving the comfort of being the "top-dog" in high school. For many this will be the first time being away from family, friends, and the comforts of our own homes.
I am a procrastinator, like many teens, and because of this I put things off until the last minute, including college scholarship applications. Now I have always thought that I was just a procrastinator, but my mother believes that I have a fear of success. Is that possible, I know I have a fear of failure/rejection, but a fear of success? I am not to sure about that.
Did you know that even in today’s world you can not give blood if you “are a male who has had sexual contact with another male, even once.” Can you believe this, in today’s modern world homosexuals still can’t give blood. I understand that there is a high risk of
HIV/AIDS but not all homosexuals have HIV/AIDS, and there are plenty of not straight people who do have HIV/AIDS.
