Hey David,
After reading your info. here are some areas that we agree on…
1. Any type of ridicule of any person for any reason is unacceptable!
2. Jesus loves everyone!
3. We both seek the truth!
You asked a lot of questions about God and Jesus. I would ask you what you have read or understand about these topics.
Here are some web sites to help find the “truth”…
In order to know what the Catholic Church says about homosexuals and same sex marriage, it is best to go to reliable sources to get the truth.
www.nccbuscc.org and under search type: homosexual There are many documents on this topic and here are some quotes…
The Bishops underscored the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church that states that homosexual persons "must be accepted with respect, compassion and sensitivity."
“All of us must strive to eliminate any form of injustice, oppression, or violence against them," they said.
The Bishops added that "all homosexual persons have a right to be welcomed into the community, to hear the Word of God, and to receive pastoral care." They also noted that persons in public roles of service and leadership in the Church, whether they be homosexual or heterosexual, should live lives consonant with Church teaching.
www.vatican.va and click on English then type “homosexual” in the search you will see documents on this topic.
www.catholic.com and search homosexual.
www.ewtn.org and can click on “listen live”. They have a call in show called Catholic Answers which is on Monday through Friday from 3-5am and 6-8pm. This is a great show you can listen to or call in with your questions. They have the answers! I am not a theologian. You can also browse the EWTN web site for more information.
www.catholicscomehome.com for Catholics who have left the church
www.Courage.com for Catholic dealing with homosexual issues
There is a sure way to find the “truth” out for yourself. God never forces Himself on us, but when you ask, He will answer you . There isn’t one exact way to do this, but basically ask God to show you the truth and He will.
Here are some ways to do this, choose one or more…
* Each day say “God show me the truth.”
* Visit a Catholic church especially during Adoration. St. Frances of Rome is only 5 miles from you. Their web site is www.sfrcatholic.org. On the first Fridays of each month from 8:30am to 3pm they have Eucharistic Adoration. You can sit in church and talk to God.
* Say one Hail Mary each day. Mary will lead you to Jesus.
When you reach out to God, He will answer you.
Here is a “truth” for you to think about. The physical body parts of two women in a sexual act or two men in a sexual act don’t fit together. A man and a woman’s body physically fit together for the sex act. This shows the “truth” of nature. Homosexual activities force body parts together in an unnatural way.
Here is another “truth”. God made us with a longing for Him. Know God know peace. No God no peace.
I am praying for you and Kyle!
