Insane Halloween Eve

Boring title I know, but I just had a Halloween-eve turned into Halloween day to remember. First of all, I invited two men I've been talking to on a dating website (pathic I know, that I'm using a dating website to meet people, but when you live in Prattsburgh, anyway,) to go Contra dancing with me in Ithaca, a little sister city to Portland that is about two hours away from where I live. I visit as often as possible to keep from being smothered by rednecks and redneck ideals, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I was thinking both men probably wouldn't show up to dancing, but suprisingly, both did. You might think that might turn into a wierd or akward evening, but it was anything but. One of the guys was one of those super prepaired types; you know, the type that plans the whole evening out and if he invites a lady to go sit with him beside Cayuga Lake, he sure as hell will bring a blanket along to cover her cold legs with/ The other guy was more like me, space-cadet central, and both where on the slightly nerdy side and both where extremely intellegent, so it was great to go out with both of them, it was like having the best of both worlds. It reminded me of the plan I had about a year ago or so to marry two individuals, maybe a man and a woman or two men, because it seems slightly unrealistic to think that one person can meet all of your needs, and that even two people can raise kids. Hell, I'd say it takes at least twenty sane and sober adults to properly raise kids and meet all of the kids emotional and physical needs/ But I'm getting off track here. We danced and then the three of us went to a bar together where we heard a god-awful band that in any other city would have been resigned to only playing basement house shows. Ithaca must have a desperate music scene, that's all I'm saying. In fact I know Upstate New York in general has a desperate music scene because people here are still listening to Phish and other bands ten years after they hit their peak.

After the horrible music, we took a short walk and then went to sit by a waterfall and talk...

To be continued

Much love,
