I was on YouTube randomly looking at videos from people I've subscribed to when I came to something interesting. POYKPAC is one video-making team that makes funny shorts. In this one video (HELP the Homeless) they were actually serious...in their own jokey way. It turned out that the link they presented was to a real site dedicated to helping Homeless Youth.
The site itself is nice and simple. The main page. It declares that the whole point is teens helping teens. They call it the RE*Generation. They accept donations, text donations, and clothing donations through the site.
A nice addition to this page is the video section on the right side. They show powerful stories of former homeless youth, like Jewel who starts with, "When I was 18, I got kicked out of my apartment and decided to sleep in my car that night. I ended up staying there for a year." "[Mom] locked the door and I never got in. I was living in abandoned buses. I was begging for food..." said Mike, another sufferer of homelessness due to his parents kicking him out.
One of the best parts about this site is that they show what they’ve already accomplished. 55,000 people have signed the petition so far, over $180,000 dollars has been donated, and November has been officially declared as National Homeless Youth Awareness Month.
There's also a petition. They want a million names to take to Congress to convince them to support homeless youth and to continue recognition of Homeless Youth Awareness Month. All it asks of you is your name, zip, and birthday. Why not sign it below?

This site has a lot of great things to offer and it doesn't ask much for its donations.
