Now You get to vote in Google just like progressive u.

When Google changes their whole search engine ranking the whole world changes. All people need to aware of this. This is move to personalized web browsing and a move toward richer content.
First you needed Gmail account, now it appears you do not. Very quietly on Thanksgiving Day, 1 month ago it went

Personalized voting on blogs and website ranking is now occurring. After every search engine posting there is an "UP ARROW" and an "X". The up arrow sends a blog posting to the #1 ranking an X appears to remove the blog or website from your personalized search.

It is not clear how Google is counting the votes into search engine rank. From the search engine rank adjustments from my own blogs and websites it is quite apparent that the move is toward better blog content, website design, and web content.
Just like progressive u, quick, not thought out content will not work. It is almost like your content must be so good and diplomatic so your enemies(or those with an opposite view point) must like it.

This new search engine ranking situation may make it easier for not so friendly folks to reduce your search engine rank and competitors to boost their own. It is probably true that most folks will probably click on the link like they are used to doing. Initially most wll not use the new google system. Some will use this socialbookmarketing scenario and  voting link like progressive u.

Note:This  system is also used by other excellent web sites like amazon.com. Astute web users will use this new voting.

Will it catch on?Time will tell.
