WOO HOO!!

Woo hoo! I just got an acceptance letter for University of New Hampshire. This was the very first letter I received from the colleges that I applied to and it was my number one choice!!

I was jumping out of my seat when my mom brought me the mail. In a stack of mail there was a rather thick envelope from New Hampshire. My mom excitedly handed it to me and told me to open it. I was so nervous and excited as I ripped the open the envelope. My eyes went to the very first to the very first line, but it felt like they couldn’t comprehend what it said fast enough. Finally the first word soaked-“Congratulations.”

I immediately jumped out of my seat and started screaming, “I got accepted!!” I felt a surge of excitement rise up in me. I couldn’t stop jumping and smiling. I couldn’t believe I actually got accepted into my number one school.

I instantly called my dad to tell him the great news. As I was reading the acceptance letter, my eyes passed over the words, “Dean’s merit scholarship.” My heart started racing again and I could barely control my speech. At that moment I realized that in addition to being accepted into the best school ever, I would receive a $600 merit scholarship to attend.

It felt like the most exciting day of my life. I spent the entire rest of the day surfing UNH’s website and learning all the information and fun facts. I told people all day how excited I was to get accepted into University of New Hampshire. I want to graduate and start college already.
