Short and Sweet

House of the Spirits was the inspiration, the muse that led me and I,
I was the follower being led through timeless truths.

I am the unique blend of two cultures, different worlds

I am the land of my birth, where I first lived and loved,

and witnessed the pain and sorrow of life's unfair ways.

To the native home,

I said Goodbye,

Alvida, and maybe see you later to the good times,

And so I became a foreigner, in a world unlike any other.

Here, I saw...the colors of the human race, eyes to the inner soul,

Heard...the voice of millions, the songs of the fighting birds,

And felt the Revolution of incredible and unique peoples.

But I, felt alone...helplessly homeless, with empty eyes I searched,

I had left behind a piece of me, and the breathing being was not me.

My heart and my soul cut in two.

In the midst of this isolation and lack of intimacy,

I witnessed the coming together of the two halves that are now me.

The old and the born new, the golden few,

Matured living beings have led me through and through,

to this worldly stage.

They, and you, are credited for making her,

Who is the passionately living, evolving, beating Me.
