This post is definitely going to be short and to the point.. since I have school tomorrow morning.
Bassically, I don't understand religon. Everyone breaks the rules! Why follow something if you can't follow all of the rules? I don't understand it? Please please please can someone help me figure this out?
Don't rant to me about not believing in God.. because I do. I just don't understand Religon. Why Can;t we just pray when we need something? Why do we have to go to Church, Synagauge, or Mosque, etc. every week for God to hear/understand us? I seriously do not get this.
Just help me figure this out!
Peace & love <3
Also, I have these old friends who are dumb. They pray, go to church, try to convert people, go on mission trips, do all of that stuff. Yet, they come home and do all these bad things! I'm not sayin' they drink or do drugs... they do simple things.. like bad mouth people or cheat on test. I don't understand this! Isn't religon all about honesty?!
k. so I need more words to publish this and I dont really know what else to say. This is pointless dont read this part! Just Answer my questions!

Prayers are not a wish list.
but anyway if you have reservations about religion you should explore these questions with your friends, pastors, and family. I believe there is nothing wrong in sinning and breaking rules; i believe it is necessary in order for beings to grow. We just have to recognize that we made a mistake and try not to repeat it.
Why do many people go to Church everyweek? i guess we go to church every week becuase it is a good place to socialized and also a good place to be reminded about humanity etc.
but anyone can pray and be reminded without attending an organized religion every week.
Good Luck in founding answers
I don't go to church but I also don't follow a religion. I am sure to some people it is stupid to go to church but it really does help people and they enjoy it so so what? Everyone sins that doesn't mean they are hypocritical. Plus rules are ment to be broken so to speak. No one is perfect.
People bad mouth people that is what they do best. I try my hardest not to do it for moral and respectful reasons. I would rather tell someone to their face it is honest and I find it pointless to bad mouth someone. But of course other people are different.
I hardly see those as bad things...compared to what i have seen and done in the past.
Also just to let you know making up words just to reach the word count...is pretty sad. Think of something you can find more substance to write about.

It is up to everyone as an individual to find the answers to the questions that you just posed for his or her self. The best way to find the answer, In my opinion, is to go to your " Church, Synagauge, or Mosque, etc." These are questions which man has grappled with since man had religion. If you find an answer, it won't be from sitting home on a holy day. It'll be by getting out there and actually experiencing what your religion has to offer- good and bad. I recently started attending a very conservitave Baptist church. I came to the church with one set of ideas about what a Born-Again Baptist was like. By attending services there, I walked away with another.
That's the only way you're ever going to understand religion: getting out there and observing the religious. Of course, this is a future journalism major speaking, so... I'm a little biased toward the getting out there and finding out what others think aspect of life.
In any event, good luck with your journey.

Well, we do bad things because we are human and have the effects of mortal sin. However, we are "hypocritical" because we are TRYING to do better. For example, pride is something I've struggled with my whole life. I try to work on it. Does still going to church make me a hypocrite? Should I stop going to church until I've successfully humbled myself? Or does going to church help me realize how humble I DO need to make myself? Also, the priest gives homilies which touch on a variety of issues, including how to help humble yourself. Thus, going to Church gives me the tools I need to try and lead a better life. I often get prideful thoughts, but I stop myself by thinking of all the good things about so-and-so, or how much better so-and-so is than me on a,b, and c issues, etc.
Make any sense?

One reason why the religious go to church is to be encouraged to live better lives, and if we are having problems, temptations etc, church is where we can talk and get help for those. Church is basically like an extended family, you help them, and they help you.
Also yes, there will be hypocrites in a church because we are all human and trying to do better, but we do not turn perfect when we become christians or follower of whatever religion.
Religion is not supposed to be something that is just a bunch of rules that are impossible to follow. At least for the Christian faith, God gave humans the ten commandments to show us how much we needed God to change anything bad in our lives. Once we have submitted to God, we can get strength to break our worst habits and sins, and submit to a God that knows us so well, and loves us even more. For me, if God can love me even though he knows my worst sins, then that is exactly the God that I want to submit to.
