OK. Originally this post was about the anonymity of online blogging and how some people hide behind their usernames to abuse other posters. But, I had to take this post down because - GUESS WHAT??? A cyber-stalker from another online forum I frequent may have Googled my username to track me down and gotten my home phone number because I "bravely" posted my full name here.
Apparently he is highly imbalanced because he never even argued with me, merely went on some horrible personal attack. It could be someone I know because my picture is on my profile in this other forum. Or, it could be some guy who has a sick need to debase women on the net. Next thing I know he'll be sending fishy packages to my home, where my unsuspecting child or husband may open it and get blown to blithereens.
All because he disagreed with my personal view on culture although he never articulated on what (and this wasn't even religion or politics, mind you) and felt the need to attack me personally, calling me some things that were so way off, it's not even funny.
Good grief. Is all I have to say. Sorry folks.

Totally. You see this all over. And have you ever noticed how angry people seem to be on the Internet? Especially on YouTube comments or anything where their real name is unconnected to their screenname. People are just plain nasty most of the time.

That's true, but who knows? Maybe you'll get all famous and stuff and someone will name their kid after you!
