This one is short, sweet, and to the point. We have the Voting 101 guide up... but I just wanted to provide a few last minute notes for those of you voting for the first time. I hope they come in handy... if you have any questions about something covered or not covered, feel free to ask! If I don't know the answer, someone else will or I will go find it for you!
As most of you undoubtedly know by now, elections are on Tuesday. If you haven't already voted early, I hope you plan on heading to the polls to cast your vote! If you do not know where your polling place is, you may want to check out a polling place locator.
Google's polling place locator (complete with maps) is at: http://maps.google.com/vote
Vote411's polling place locator is at: http://www.vote411.org/pollingplacebystate.php
and the GoVote locator is at: http://govote.org/
If you cannot find your polling place by any of these methods, check with your country clerk or local board of elections. They can tell you where you need to go!
Remember to take a photo ID and your voter registration card with you to the polls just in case you need it. In some states, identification is requested for those voting for the first time or voting after having made changes to their registration. In others, identification is required.
If you get to your polling place and are told you aren't eligible to vote... ask for a provisional ballot. The provisional ballot is used to record your vote if any questions should arise about eligibility. Once election officials are able to check your eligibility, the provisional ballot will be counted (if you are eligible to vote). If you do cast a provisional ballot, you may want to check your state guidelines to see if you will be required to do anything further once the ballot is in. In some states, for instance, if you cast a provisional ballot and do not provide proof of identity, you may be required to provide that proof within a specific amount of time in order for your ballot to be cast. Check with the Secretary of State for more information on that!
Happy Voting!

Obama's website also can locate your polling place for you. That's what I used to find out where I could vote early. He's been really big about getting people to register and vote, moreso than I remember seeing anyone doing in the last presidential election.

Sorry, this is only good in Wisconsin, but maybe a few people will read this comment and find it helpful.
Not only can you find your polling place here, you can also make sure you're registered to vote!
