my reality

With senior year just beginning the anticipation to graduate is UNBEARABLE. I find myself counting down the months until gradutation like most seniors. Right now the count is at 7 (:
Now, unfortunately for me I slacked throughout all of high school and now find myself regretting all those assignments that weren't turned in , the test I didn't study for and even classes I had missed because I was " sick" ( if you catch my drift). My dream of attending Florida State University was thrown out the window and the realization that I was going to be stuck at the community college down the street from my house hit me hard. You can call it an ephiany but to make myself feel better i like to go with stroke of genius (: but anyways, i realized that maybe just maybe if i did some research i could find better alternatives than the school down the street from my house ! So i got on the internet and typed in Tallahassee Community College. I was so surprised at what came up. Tallahssee community College or TCC as others know it is,one of the top community colleges in the country ! Not only that but I could attend TCC for a semester and then apply to my beloved FSU <3
I swear to you I've never sighed with such relief before, I could get the college experiance of moving to another town, still apply to FSU, and it's more economical.What more could I ask for?
Im not suggesting that you slack off through all 4 years of high school by any means, but if your one of the kids like me that did, don't beat yourself down for it, there's nothing wrong with being an average student. Granted if I had the oppurtunity to go back and do it all over again, I would definetely do it differently, but the past is in the past and there's nothing I can do about it now, but make sure that my academic fucture isn't like my academic past. Im actually looking foward to college, the classes, the people, everything.
With that being said, don't let your past mistakes determine your future <3
