Please note that my name is mormonchick. I chose this name on purpose because I am not ashamed of my beliefs and I am not ashamed to answer questions.
I'm sorry that some people believe that I am not a Christian. Well, I read the Bible every day. I believe that Christ is my Savior, my Redeemer, my only path to eternal life. I believe in a God that loves us all and wants what is best for us. Isn't that what all Christians believe?
I had only been logged in for a few minutes and I already spotted several frustrating untruths about my church. I don't understand how people can be so belligerent in attacking my beliefs. I have responded to such posts when I can, and I have tried to act in the least aggressive way I can, but I'm getting sick of holding it in.
People, please research what you say about other peoples' beliefs before you post these things! It's not that hard! You can visit www.mormon.org or any site that is MADE BY THE CHURCH. Why don't you try looking for your information from the actual source of these beliefs, instead of searching in anit-mormon literature?
For example, I do not have horns hidden under my hair (as someone recently asked me at school). I don't think that's physically possible, even if I do have different beliefs.
I CAN eat chocolate (I would die if I couldn't) and I CAN drink milk.
It is true that I don't drink coffee or tea or alcohol or anything like that. I don't believe in putting anything into my body that can take away my ability to choose for myself.
These are the most common things I'm getting, but I'd be more than happy to take on any questions and/or misunderstandings about my church. But for the love of everything that is good and right in the world, PLEASE check your facts with REAL sources!
The Truth About Mormons

I've heard a lot of things about how Mormons aren't really Christian, and all sorts of other things, and frankly, I'm tired of hearing about it, too. Sometimes I feel like everyone's judging people of your faith just because of the actions of a few. Which is what happens all the time with anyone of ANY faith, really. It's happened to me...
Personally, I don't know much about mormonism, but I do have a good friend who is mormon, and she's never shown any bad qualities. She's a good person who I get along with really well, and we've even had religious discussions in which nothing ever came up that seemed weird or odd or wrong to me. So it bothers me when people demonize mormons. I'm just a tad bit biased in your favor, here. ^-^
And that's comin' at ya' from yer local redneck hippie.
