The Truth About Evil

There is a darkness in all of us, an all consuming flame waiting to rage. One’s soul is their own, to be bargained with or defiled. The choices made in this lifetime are sometimes set in stone and sometimes rectifiable, if that is what you so choose. Life is full choices, of chances once taken that can change everything. It is in these moments when fate is decided, when the point of no return is clear. And in those moments a man finds out what his character is made of or is lost to the darkness within.

So when hell’s crashing furies sound and dark days approach a man must make a decision; to do what is right or do what he knows. And the choice is very rarely easy. In that moment clarity is unheard of and confusion paralyzes.

So understand that this darkness consumes. It is a beast waiting to be unleashed upon the innocence of the soul. The choices made decide how dark it’s going to become.

Evil exists. It lurks in our every action, our every decision. It is my belief that true evil is the unlived life. All the chances we could have taken or might have taken that lie buried in the shadows. There is no greater crime than that of a moment missed. We are not immortal. Our lives are fleeting. There is only one chance, only one moment. Evil would waste them.
