The Same Old Topic, Again and Again

It's amazing how the nation we covet - a nation that is seemingly infallible - is wretched with a heart wrenching, pocket pinching crisis. I'm flabbergasted at the fact that the United States being the world power that it is, is afflicted by faulty leadership, economic instability, and political rifts. I may not understand details of these notions but I do know that my future and the future of everyone else my age is being compromised. The line of events that continue to capsize America and halt economic growth and prosperity ultimately hurts the most important part of American society - the future.

We all know about the War in Iraq, crisis in the Middle East; we may either support to abhor it but in the end America needs to think about what is best for the people that will take up the roles and responsibilities that our nation's leaders possess today. This immense crisis is depleting the resources, the youth and manpower that is integral for prosperity. Critics may say that "winning" is necessary for the preservation of the American spirit. But is it really necessary to win in a country that has no correlation to the actual terrorist attacks that dampened the spirits of America on that unfortunate day seven years ago. I thought that Afghanistan was our main target, but Iraq? I listen to flying words telling me its all about oil, its all about weapons of mass destruction - maybe I'm just to young to comprehend the incomprenhensible. But I do know for a fact that trillions of dollars have been wasted on a war that has wrought only suffering - in a larger sense it has not achieved even alleviating the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people.

I want to ask the government: Why are you not concerned about the future of the American people? They might justify political ideals and expectations. But in the time of crisis does all of that matter? Is foreign affairs the primary goals - does it overlook domestic issues? Maybe not but the stress on the war in Iraq in Bush's policies fails to connect with the American people.

This isn't even the only crisis that is affecting America.
But it has caused tremendous amounts of death, havoc, and destruction.
People are losing faith in the American government.

I know this topic has been talked about so much in our media but I just wanted to share my input.
