Takin' a chance...would you pull the ripcord?!

In Denver... I went on this ride at Elitch Gardens. It was a 200-whatever foot freefall; you go all the way up this arch thing and you pull your own ripcord. Well, the second time I went on it, I got to pull the rip cord. Suspended in midair hundreds of feet above ground, I felt very in control. Of everything. My life, my thoughts, what I wanted out of life. Although I felt in control, the girl I was strapped to, had a mild panic attack. She was worried our cord was going to break and that we were going to fall face first into the concrete 200 feet below. But the decision to pull the cord wasn't up to her, it was up to me. It was my choice... I could either take a risk and pull the cord, then hope to God I didn't die...or wimp out and be lowered back to the ground where it's "safe". Of course I took a risk pulled it. What's life without a little risk...in everything you do?! The feeling of flying through the air was amazing. I want that feeling back. If only life could be like a 200-foot freefall all the time...

I would like to try it. It sounds fun.

I think that your success in life is partially a result of the risks you take. The bigger the risk, the bigger the return. The hard part is knowing which risks are worth it and which ones aren't.

I gave this a 5 for your great job of incorporating a personal experience into a life strategy. Good work.
