So i have just begun to blog on this site, but i have been blogging and creating forums on kanyelive.com where i am a political moderator for the last year. It is amazing how so many people from all across the world can come on one website and discuss not only the general election of the united States but also of Castro's resignation, French politics, Spanish politics, Mexican politics.
What has really interested is the way that british men and women are so interested in american politics. Earlier today i asked one of the more senior british posters on the site why he cared so much about american politics (he was pissing me off quite a bit because he was talking crap about Obama and Clinton and touting Ron Paul as the greatest candidate who had ever lived). He responded to me by simply saying, "well because America is a super power and i want to know about American Politics." this may not seem as interesting to you as it did to me but i think that it is extremely cool (for lack of a better word) how people from ALL all over the world care about the way America functions (and everyone is in agreement about the dissapointments of the last eight years).
I encourage everyone to talk about politics with anyone they can because blind ignorance is NEVER the right way to go. The only way to understand anything is to fully comprehend it. and this comes through group discussion and debate!
Thanks for listening!

It is interesting to see those in other countries taking an interest in what happens here. What really bothers me though, is that so often those in other countries know more about things here than those here do. It's rather eye opening to know that someone in Belize knows more about our government and who is who than quite a few of our own citizens. It's rather a large "hey moron, pay attention" flashing neon sign for the American people... we just like to ignore it. We've gotten far too good at ignoring things that are clamoring for attention. It depresses me.
