This is my first blog. Lets see how it goes.
Ok well college has basically been on my mind since like the 8th grade(I'm a junior now) and now that college is luming in the very near future it's really freaking me out. I'm fine with leaving my family and friends and having to make my way in life without finacial support and all of the comforts of being dependent on someone. I've wanted me independence since I can remember. I've picked several colleges that get me out of this dead town and far from my so called family, finally giving me my independence but there is no way I can afford to go to any college let alone an out of state one. My mom refuses to pay for any part of college and my dad can hardly afford to keep himself alive (obviously my parents are divorced). Scholarships are a great thing but is it enough? Can I get enough money so I'm not up to my ears in debt? Why do they make going to college so hard? I thought it would be a good thing to further your education. This whole money thing is the only thing about college that is freaking me out. I want to get a good business degree and start my own restaurant. I want to do so many things in life and college is that stepping stone that will take me those places. It's the beginning of my future. I will not settle to go to a college I dont want to go to just because it is cheap. I need as many scholarships as I can get.
Ok so this is where you tell me all about your success stories and give me tips lol. I'm trying to be optimistic.
