I think most Progressive U users are here for the same reasons – to get scholarship money and to express their opinions – but we've all come from different backgrounds. Since a person's background and where they are in life can have a huge effect on their ideas and opinions, I am curious about the demographics of Pro U users. I have created several polls with questions about user demographics (religion, gender, age, and high school education), and would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to answer them.
What religion/belief system do you relate most closely to or feel best describes you?
I created this poll after reading several posts about religion, which got me wondering what religions are most common among Pro U users. Based on the posts I've read, it appears that most users are either Christian or Atheist (I've also read a few posts by Pagan and Muslim users), but I want a more accurate break down of the religions represented. I've included Christianity – Christian, Wicca/Paganism – Wiccan/Pagan, Islam – Muslim, Atheism – Atheist, Buddhism – Buddhist, Hinduism – Hindu, Agnosticism – Agnostic, and Other - Please describe as possible answers for this poll. Please let me know if you think I should have included any other options.
Is it just me, or does it seem like most users are are female? Let's see what the poll results say. Your options are male, female, born male but now female (or would seriously like to be), born female but now male (or would seriously like to be), and neither male nor female.
Because of the scholarship contest and the appearance of being targeted to youth I expected most users on this site to be in their teens or early twenties, but I think a surprising number of users are older then that. This poll asks if you're 13-17, 18-21, 22-25, 26-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-65, 66-80, or over 80.
Where did you complete most of your high school education (so far)?
Since education is a big topic on here, I have to ask about everyone's educational background. Did you go to public school, go to private school, home school, use a charter/correspondence school, or drop out of school?

Umm, I just realized that this is not going to be the best demographics survey, because it is a convience sample, and no real data can be gathered because only those who read this particular post will participate...but it should be interesting to see how it turns out
MOst people are female because those are the ones who are usually more committed.
I was a minority in all of these. Im a guy [girls got higher] Im wiccan [christians got waaay higher] im about to be 17[18-21 got waaaay higher] that blows, lol
