The mexican inmigrants growing problem

Every time I hear: "If the kick me out, I come right back", but I ask myself: How? Are we allowing them illegally? We complaint about the ilegal inmigration, we blame the mexican goverment, we blame our politicians, but the reality is US citizens are involved in letting them in for money. The fact is that human trafficking in easy money for most of the people involved in the Coyote's operation (it takes more than one minivan and a driver to pass 12 iligelal inmigrants through the Mexican-US border. Americans and Mexicans are involved in the whole thing... the sad part is that they risk people's lives everyday no matter if you are young or old, child or adult, pregnant or not you can get kill trying...
Many of my friends discuss the fact of the promissing inmigration reformation laws, or a possible Reagan-like Amnesty, but the papers are moving around the US congress but nothing has happen, opinions, peaceful protests, and more panelist opinions but that's it, nothing effective or with a reasonable legal base that will benefit those children who are born in this land, and never ask their parents to be americans, but they are, and some member of the community want to punish them for being "Chicano" (Mexican descent born in the US).
But what about those who are also illegal inmigrants from other countries (which in the case of ranking of inmigration movements are way lower than Mexicans) such as Russia, China, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Ecuador, etc. What about them? The hard inmigration laws apply to them as well but the difference: Most of these families come here with visitor visa, and overstay their I-94, hoping that one day they can adjust their inmigrant status. Life is the same if you are new to this country no matter where you came from or how you are making it.... Life is always full of challeges.

I got mixed messages there...are you saying that we should or should not allow Mexican immigrants into the counry or any immigrant for that matter??

Good topic!

Yes, I made two points in this blog, but the fact is that inmigration laws and even taxes are not equal for all inmigrants, while inmigrants who cross the border are punish with high fees when they apply for legalization, they are also allow to claim their dependents in Mexico (of course if the person is Mexican), but if you came to the US with a visitor visa and stayed over your limit, you are illegal also, however if you are not from Mexico youcan not claim your depents in your taxes, but on the other hand your inmigration fees are not as high (status adjustment from tourist visas to green cards does not hit you with a chunk of money in penalties). On the other hand my Mexican friends who cross the border for a better future are obligated to go back to their country for at least a year before they can be granted a green card.
The whole system is a mess, the ones who know how to play it, they do it, and the majority who doesn't just watch patiently. Don't get me wrong my dear reader, I am not against inmigration, or racist but this subject worries me a lot. I see everyday how tons of inmigrants get abused by the systems until they learn how to survive and play it back. We have to find a common ground that allows other "Americans" to live in this land rightfully without cuasi-segregation like lifes. And I say "other Americans" because as far as I know, there is: Central "America", South "America", North "America" and that makes you American too. : )

OK. I think I gotcha. It seems like your being very sensative and very careful of not to really state one way or another. Its a good thing becuase people can may times misinterpret what you say as racist, though in this case it is a matter of trying to be fair anyway.....Your right! I mean the whole thing is a mess....
The thing that worries me is just how so many illegal inmigrants come here, and that throws all the taxes out of wack. I mean it doesn't make sense that people pay taxes just to have another person benifit completelly from them...
There is a two way street there too. I mean you can't blame inmigrants who don't have enough to eat on the table, coming here to make a better life! Not to say that inmigrants come from poverty but I think you get what I am saying.
I actually could be wrong about the tax thing becuase I don't exaclty know how taxes work but form what I have heard that is a definate concern.

honestly...I think it is our fault...but not just b/c of trafficking...we are the one's that glorify our country as the land of the free and home of the brave...we make our nation seem so superior to many of their countries...they see the U.S. as a safe haven...who could blame them for that? maybe we should just stop trying to make ourselves look so good and admit that we have problems too...we have poverty just like so many other nations...we have violence and drugs and right now we don't have good political forsight with all the candidates fighting over senseless things...so it's our faults too...not entirely of course...but we definitely share the blame

I think we should do away with status adjustments altogether because they send the wrong message. That would include any sort of amnesty. We have been down that path before and it made the problem far worse. By allowing status adjustments for people who broke our laws we are sending the message that if you come here and disrespect our laws you will eventually reward you with citizenship.

Instead, we should deport anybody who is caught in our country illegally and bar them for life from ever returning on any sort of legal visa. If they are caught in our country twice, we should put them in a prison that resembles a Mexican prison. We would not need to do that too many times before the world got the message that our laws were to be respected rather than broken.

The American people have been overwhelmingly clear that they are against illegal immigration and want it stopped. We need laws that will stop it cold.

The argument that some Americans are complicit in the human smuggling so it is our own fault is disingenuous. Just because a tiny fraction of our society is engaged in illegal activity does not mean the rest of us have to surrender and tolerate the law breaking. Anybody caught in human smuggling whether they be a Mexican coyote, a Cuban-American boat owner or any other American should be rigorously punished. Human smuggling is a disgusting business that inevitably leads to humans being held for ransom and humans being forced into prostitution. There should be zero tolerance of it in the USA.

And I resent people who have broken our laws calling themselves immigrants. We have a legal process for immigrating to our country and ONLY people who follow that process are immigrants. Anybody else who comes and stays in our country illegally is not an immigrant but rather a criminal and a fugitive.

Living in California right near the border with Mexico, it is more apparent to people here the hoops that some native Mexicans will go to to get into this country illegally. One of the tactics is for them to create "borderbabies" by hiking up their skirts in the back and backing up to the chain link border fence to be impregnated by U.S. border guards. I have seen girls as young as probably 13 doing this, allowing themselves to be used through the fence so that they have a legal ticket into this country. It's pitiful. Some of the girls practice oral sex through the fence not realizing that this won't get them pregnant, then become very frustrated as they wait for a baby to appear. Nine months, nothing! Then back to the old fence again for another try. Actually, they become quite skilled at this practice, as the border guards have favorite spots that they "patrol" to receive "favors," not realizing that their babies are being brought into the country as tokens of legal immigrant status.
