My First Blog!!

So here I am! I've been wanting to blog for quite some time now but never knew how to begin. What would I blog about? Who would want to hear what I have to say? Once I read about the Blogging for Progress scholarship I decided to give it a shot. If nothing else it will provide me with a creative outlet to speak my mind and get things off my chest. After all, I enjoy reading other people's blogs so why not try it.

With so much going on in my life right now and the world around me I have no doubt that there will be lots for me to blog about. Blogging will allow me to state my mind to promote things that I believe in. I look forward to this new experience and am excited to interact with others regarding current events and sharing similar thoughts and experiences.

So a little background about me, I work as a Sr. Benefits Systems Specialist for Paychex Benefit Technologies and am currently attending the University of Phoenix. I enjoy making jewelry, knitting, cooking, volunteering and doing yoga. I am getting married in July to the love of my life and couldn’t be happier.

I know this first blog is nothing too exciting but I wanted to introduce myself and just get the painful first blog done and over with! Kind of like pulling a band-aid. Hopefully my future blogs will contain more interesting thoughts and ideas that I can share.
