Ah, the elusive Perfect Blog Entry, something that has been searched for for countless hours by countless bloggers. Some say it is a legend, that it never existed, while others feel it once did exist, but has since become extinct. And there are still those who feel it is out there somewhere, hiding in the mind of a brilliant blogger, waiting to be found and set free. Welcome to the quest for The Perfect Blog Entry.

Whether your goal is to find and read The Perfect Blog Entry, or, for the more ambitious, to unleash it into the cyber-world, it is important to know some basic knowledge. How does one distinguish The Perfect Blog Entry from its cousin, the much more populous, yet still somewhat elusive Astounding Blog Entry? These are a few key things to look for.

1. The Perfect Blog Entry will focus on a topic that everyone can relate to, whether male or female, young or old, no matter what religious beliefs, ethnicity, culture and background the reader may bring with them. The Perfect Blog Entry appeals to each and every person because it is something that applies to the life of each and every person in some way or other.

2. The Perfect Blog Entry will offend no one. It will not attack anyone, no matter how subtle or unintentional the attack may be. It will not use stereotypes unless it is to dispel them. It will not make assumptions. It will instead, consider all views, and phrase everything it says in such a way as to be completely and utterly non offensive.

3. The Perfect Blog Entry will state both sides of an issue. It will not be biased toward one or the other. Instead, it will remain neutral, stating only the proven facts. And it will do so in a tactful, yet matter-of-fact manner, never skipping around the details or the issue itself.

4. The Perfect Blog Entry will leave every reader feeling satisfied and informed. It will provide all the information the readers want, and will present it in an interesting and intelligent way that is easily understandable. It will leave no desire to debate the issue or start an argument. No feelings of anger will it instill in its readers. No, it shall only instill in them a sense of contentment, and possibly even happiness or joy.

Now tell me, o seekers of The Perfect Blog Entry, do you see now why it is so hard to find? We here aim for the regal Progress. Progress is our quarry before anything else. There can be no Perfect Blog Entry where there is Progress, for to seek Progress requires starting debates, perhaps stepping on a few people's toes. There is no avoiding offending a few people, stirring up a little noise, or broaching a subject no one wants to think about when seeking Progress. And as such, there is little hope for finding or unleashing The Perfect Blog Entry.

Seekers, do you still wish to find the elusive Perfect Blog Entry?

I don't know about you, but all of my blogs are perfect!

Just kidding! You're absolutely right. If the "perfect" blog entry appeals to all without any disagreements, I doubt those types of blogs will spark any comments. I, personally, would rather spark conversation and read a variety of viewpoints rather than a blog about grass being green.

Exactly!

Heh...I've been thinking a lot about "perfection" lately, and this just popped into my mind.

And that's comin' at ya' from yer local redneck hippie.

I think the Perfect Blog Entry will forever elude me now. The best I'm hoping for is the Confounding Blog Entry.

Confounding's good. :) Don't believe in perfection...

Maybe in some people's eyes, a blog entry can be "perfect" but that's more of a matter of opinion. In my case, I'm still searching for the Readable Blog Entry *laugh* Thanks for the pointers, though ^_^

I don't really like perfection that much. Don't you find that sometimes imperfection adds a little spark to things? The only "perfection" I really like is the "perfect imperfection," if you know what I mean XD

PCG

I'm looking for the Readable Blog Entry too. Those actually exist.
