Everyday in elementary school we had to say the Pledge of Allegiance with our hand over our heart, so thats where I remember putting my hand over my heart the most...to show patriotism...And at the football games, the basketball games...etc. when they play the national anthem, more than half have their hands over their hearts.
Yeah, the pledge of Allegiance is where people put hands over their hearts. I've been to a few sporting events, and have never seen a single person put their hands over their heart during the anthem.

I know that when I was a little kid it made me feel a little uneasy because I knew my god was "different" from everyone else's.

There is official flag ettiquete-- and putting your hand to your heart is not considered proper flag ettiquete during the national anthem. It is, however, flag ettiquete to raise your hand to your hand to your heart for the pledge of allegience.
Your post is full of hypocrisy. George Bush has a picture of him putting his hand over his stomach during the national anthem-- but no one's going to say that's unpatriotic.

And the New York Times story wasn't all about adultery, if you read the thing. It was a story about McCain's relationship with a lobbyist and how he was doing favors for her. Matt Drudge was covering this story back in December, and the NYT was the first MSM newspaper to cover it. Given that Matt Drudge was the first to break the story, you can't say that NYT lied about it, given that Drudge is a conservative news source.
And lots of us don't want to see George W. Bush's name either.

So just mentioning Hussein seems as though you're trying to scare people.
Does it surprise me that people haven't used recreational drugs? It may surprise you that I've never used drugs, either. But I know people who have... and none of them are bad people for using drugs or have done it in their life. I just think mentioning this is a cheap shot against Senator Obama. Why is it important to you that he did drugs 30 years ago? How is his prior drug use going to affect his presidency? If he didn't want people to know he did drugs, he wouldn't have written it in both of his books. It was even mentioned in a debate, and he has said it repeatedly when addressing students. It is common knowldege. However, George Bush was a known alcoholic (also, something I don't do), but that hasn't been mentioned in your blog, nor anyone else's. It's a nonissue for GWB, and it should be one for Barack Obama.
