I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members, volunteers, developers, and whoever else participates in keeping this site running.
I am a non-traditional college student. I am just now going back to school after eight years of my brain forgetting how to study and research and write papers. This site has been a wonderful opportunity for me to retrain myself, to get back into a studious mode. I must say, that in my few months of membership I have learned so much about research sources available in 2008. Many suggestions and blogs have led me to identify the amazing quantity of information provided to all of us, right here at our fingertips!
Although my library does not offer e-books available for check out, I have learned (here) that other libraries across the country offer this service. With this newfound knowledge, I did some more research and found that I can get old articles on-line through my local library. I have also ordered information from the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum for a paper on which I am currently working. How awesome is that?!? This is information that I would never be able to obtain through my own local library and as a direct result of this site, I know I can get it elsewhere!
Research methods are only the tip of the iceberg. Because of ProgressiveU, I have been given the opportunity to practice my writing and research using topics that interest me. With feedback I receive, hits to the blog, and other obvious clues, I am able to deduct which topics attract readers and which are boring. I also observe which blogs are written in ways that tend to keep a reader's attention and which pieces of writing need improvement in style. I have learned the importance of a good title and how they attract hits, or don't attract hits. Even the lack of comments to a blog can really say more than words. I can honestly say that I have learned more from this site about my writing than any English class I have ever taken; I think because many are reading my work as opposed to just one person.
I know I am not a great and talented writer. I need a lot of work and I try to take full advantage of my opportunity to learn from this site. In the meantime, I want to extend my thanks to everyone here. You ALL are helping me make my return to the scholastic world more than you know!
Thank You, ProU!

Rest in peace
