Woman Killed by Her Own Pet Dog
The above article is sad and has resulted in the death of an elderly woman and the destruction of two dogs. It is right for the family of the woman to mourn and want the death of the two pet dogs. Focus has been placed on the loss of the woman, which is completely understandable. However, the more I read over this article, the more I began to wonder. Why did the dogs attack her? How had she raised these dogs? Had they been mistreated? Naturally, any living creature on this Earth desires respect from other creatures.
Dog is man's best friend and has lived among man for a great number of years. This relationship has grown and developed. Outrage races across mankind if any harm is placed upon domesticated animals such as dogs and cats. This relationship has also brought to light how similar these animals are to humans. They feel, they hurt, they love, and they understand. When a dog’s best friend, man, is hurt and cries, it is likely that the dog will moan and approach the human in effort to comfort. When an ambulance comes racing through a neighborhood with its sirens blaring, you can hear an uproar between the dogs of that street, howling their hearts out. They aren’t singing along to the tune of the truck, but, if you listen closely, it feels as if the dogs are crying along with the human that was hurt and howling to bring attention to their fallen friend.
Amazing as these animals may be, they are no different than us. We cry with our friends and let them know that we’re there for them. We draw attention to a tragedy and huddle around yelling “Oh my God!” rather than howling, but practically being there to comfort, no matter who the victim is, whether we know them or not. Just like dogs, we can be mistreated, we can almost instantly lose faith and trust in others, and we are just as easily hurt, just as the dogs in the above article may have been.
Some of us can take this hurt lightly and just let it slid, similar to what the female dog in the above article may have done. Others will take it very badly, letting our heart soak in all the heart and turn completely black. We begin to push all of our good sense aside, because we allow our body to be embraced by hateful thoughts and desires. We began to feed off of revenge and until revenge is accomplished, we cannot be satisfied. These thoughts and this hurt lead to a majority of the destruction that exists in our world. Just like every tree, there is a root and a large majority of the revenge seeking and blood hungry killings stem from the hurt experienced by these persons who commit these hateful crimes to humanity. No one knows, no witnesses were present and therefore we cannot claim that the woman treated these dogs fairly, trapping them in her backyard. The male dog acted as many humans would have under such a dictatorship, he revolted and he attacked.
I went to high school; I know how a simple smile can prevent a Columbine or a suicide attempt or occurrence. When we learn to treat each other fairly and follow that one great commandment that states that we should all treat each other just as we would want others to treat us. Whether you believe that this commandment was created through divine intervention or man made, it is a theory that is oh-so-true and has hardly been embraced well enough in order for it to take a world changing effect. If you want to be treated in a hateful way by people, then you can start being hateful to others, but until then, respect should be harvested wherever you roam before you expect others to water you with human decency.

While I understand what you're saying, animals such as dogs and cats are food in some parts of the world. So I wouldn't say it's a universal ideal we have.

When an ambulance comes racing through a neighborhood with its sirens blaring, you can hear an uproar between the dogs of that street, howling their hearts out.

That's because it hurts their ears to hear the siren.

But yes, I understand the gist of your blog. It is a sad thing that happened, and I hope it doesn't happen again.
