One of the greatest things you can do in life is to teach something truthful and useful to someone. On a weekend, I was visiting my aunt and uncle, who were having maintenance work done to their home. That day I was emerging from deep study for a test I was going to take. The craftsman's sons tagged along and we happened to become good friends. In just a couple of moments, these two boys, of about 11 and 12, knew the correct order of Meiosis: IPMAT (eye-P-mat). (The key was to first let them know of the the words Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase and Telophase. The youngest pointed out that they all end in "phase.")               If the two boys haven't practiced IPMAT, they might not remember it at first, but later on they might. When you teach a formula, a definition word or anything else, you are the one who's registering the concept in your memory. You can take it up a step by applying the key terms (e.g. chromatid), techniques and dynamic elements. Make your own objective or curriculum. Take the IPMAT and teach it to any elderly person, a child or a classmate. It could raise your SAT scores. It will definitely help others. My name is Celia A.
