The EPA says that we have 250 years of coal left in the USA. Stephen Johnson an EPA administrator said that the president in his union address announced a 20 % reduction in gas usage by some future time. Also S. Johnson asked all the states to declare OCT. 3 rd as Energy star “Change a light- change a day” holiday. He also made a plea for everyone who could to buy green energy.

All this has to do with global warming and its affect on the planet. I made a trip to New York city, Niagara Falls, Canada, and Barkley, PA. What I noticed was that some people are still driving those awful diesel engines from before 1994, the ones that still have the smoke stack and give off the gross smelling fumes, those trucks should be outlawed. I also noticed that not many people are driving in Canada. The gas is sold by the liter and it’s almost as expensive as a gallon in America. They must have a bigger tax on the gas too because the roads are a whole lot nicer.
IT was discussed on CSPAN today too that due to global warming, the winter is shorter, and there is not as much snow, and that the polar ice caps are melting.
The fact is that water wars are going to heat up in the middle east and everywhere, I think.
They mentioned at about 3:00 PM on Cspan that clean Hydro power is getting more difficult to obtain. If there is less water to power the dam then there is less pressure on the turbines, resulting in less power for our homes.
Fact is also that the water in the world is getting more acid. On my trip to Canada and elsewhere the hotels are all conserving water too. EG
A TOWEL ON THE FLOOR MEANS REPLACE. A TOWEL ON THE RACK MEANS I’LL USE AGAIN
OF course this is couched in the politest terms possible, and said in a different way in each hotel.
